Ora Cacao Glowing Guatemala Cacao
weight
If you are looking for an ally for deep self-inquiry, this pure 100% cacao is made for you. It can awaken compassion, care, and the ability to reflect with love and honesty. Grown in the K’eqchi Mayalands, this cacao carries with it a strong, wise, yet graceful and mothering energy. It is perfect for a daily ritual of connection to self and when shared with community, activates our awareness to our inextricable connection to each other.
This ceremonial cacao is grown in a remote village of 125 families located in the Alta Verapaz department - known as the mountains of True Peace. Their village is disconnected from the rest of the world except for a footbridge crossing the raging Cahabón river, and because of this, are still very much connected to their indigenous traditions as they have been able to resist outside influence. Thanks to this, their cacao traditions have remained intact and we have had the honor to learn directly from them during our in-person visits. The Indigenous families we work with make 90% of their income from cacao and we are proud to share that we buy all of the cacao produced by them.
From our farmers in Guatemala, B'antiosh - this is thank you in K'eqchi' Maya!

Peel back the layers of your boundless self with meditation, ritual and self inquiry as you drink this ceremonial cacao coming straight from three hundred indigenous Q'eqchi' and Mopan Maya families in southern Belize.
This ceremonial cacao comes from 300 small (1-5 acre) organic family farms in the foothills of southern Belize. 75% of our farming families are indigenous Q’eqchi’ and Mopan Maya, and they grow their pure raw cacao with deep respect and understanding of the local ecology. We've invested in a permaculture demonstration farm here to pioneer innovative agroforestry techniques, advance cacao cultivation in the region, and propagate heirloom seedlings. This is the first cacao we used for ceremonial purposes. This cacao has an heirloom designation by the Heirloom Cacao Project , and is produced by Maya Mountain Cacao.

Venture into yourself and your connection to Mother Earth with this soothing pure 100% cacao. When drinking this ceremonial acao, you can experience a strengthening of your inner sense of connection to nature, create ritual and ceremony for the earth, and find balance with all your relations.
Connected Colombia carries the prayers and energies from the tribe of the Arhuacos. Living in the mountains of the High Sierra Nevada Santa Marta, Colombia, they see themselves as a non-dual part of Earth, not separate: so caring for Earth is caring for all of existence. They maintain planetary balance by making ritual payments, or pagamento, to the Earth for her services.
The Arhuaco people grew cacao over six hundred years ago, prior to colonization of the Americas. When they lost their ancestral lands, over time their cacao traditions faded. With their territory recently recognized as a "living being" and receiving federal protection, they have regained access to their ancestral cacao growing territory, and their knowledge of cacao is coming back strong to be shared with us.
Ora Cacao Oaxacan Spice Cacao
weight
On some days you just need a little extra celebration and motivation, and this enhanced ceremonial cacao elevates you quickly as our blend of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cayenne get your circulation pulsing. The spices are warming and quicken the effect of the cacao, making it a cold weather favorite, but we'll happily drink this one even when it's warm out.
Ancient peoples of Central & South America loved drinking their chocolate hot and spicy rather than sugary. This is a modern interpretation of ancient Mayan drinking chocolate honoring our Zapotec elder Maria. She taught us the time-honored ways of chocolate making in Oaxaca by roasting cacao beans over on open fire on a clay comal, carefully hand peeling the cacao beans, and then grinding the cacao with spices on a metate (hand stone grinder). Through this special cacao, we give gratitude to the roots of cacao ceremony.
Ingredients: Cacao Beans from Uganda, Cinnamon from Sri Lanka, Cardamom from Guatemala, Ginger from China, Cayenne from India. That's all! No sweeteners.

Ora Cacao Thriving Tanzania Cacao

This pure 100% cacao is grown amidst the laughter and close relationships of thriving village life in Africa. Amidst extensive rice and banana crops, seven hundred certified organic farmers within the biodiverse Kilombero Valley grow cacao for Kokoa Kamili, who takes utmost care to ferment and dry the cacao to exacting standards that offer the best quality on the continent. From our farmers in Tanzania, "Asante" - this is Swahili for thank you!
This ceremonial cacao comes from 700 small (0.5-2 acre) organic family farms in the Kilombero Valley, which borders Udzungwa Mountains National Park, a spot known for its biodiversity. Our partners here are Kokoa Kamili (Quality Cacao in Swahili), and their model is inspired by our partners in Belize. In its first three years, Kokoa Kamili farmers have received the highest prices for cacao in Tanzania. The cacao from this region is exceptional as a pure dark chocolate as it has a higher cacao butter content than average, resulting in a silky smoothness.
