You Shouldn't Have to Take a Label's Word for It

Creatine is one of the most researched supplements in the world. The science on the ingredient is strong. The question is what's actually in the tub you buy.

In the US, supplements don't need FDA approval before they hit the shelf. Quality comes down to the brand, and to whether anyone independent ever checked.

That's why Bethany's Pantry Creatine is third-party tested, screened for heavy metals and purity verified. One ingredient, micronized for a finer powder that mixes easily. No fillers, no flavors, no sweeteners, no flow agents.

Clean creatine you can verify, not just trust.

Creatine Isn't Just for the Gym

For years, creatine was marketed almost entirely to men lifting heavy. The research has moved on. Scientists are now studying creatine in women across every stage of life, well beyond sport.

Your body makes some creatine on its own, and the rest comes from food, mostly meat and fish. Research reports that women take in significantly less creatine from their diets than men, and if you eat mostly plants you get very little at all.

One review in the journal Nutrients reported that women may have 70 to 80% lower natural creatine stores than men. That's a big reason more women are asking whether creatine belongs in their routine.

Researchers are now studying creatine in women from young adulthood through older age, for the brain as much as the body. It's one of the most researched supplements in the world, and the research in women is finally catching up.

I made this one for the same reason I make everything at Bethany's Pantry: I wanted the cleanest version I could find, and I wanted proof. (And guys, same tub, same testing. You're welcome here too.)

FAQs

How is Bethany’s Pantry Creatine different from other creatine?

It’s a single ingredient, micronized creatine monohydrate, that is third-party tested, screened for heavy metals and purity verified. There are no sweeteners, flavors, fillers or flow agents, and we publish the
lab results so you can check them yourself.

How is this creatine tested?

It’s lab tested for purity, heavy metals, allergens and microbes before it ships. Our first lot measured 99.63% pure creatine
monohydrate, with lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury each below 0.1 ppm. You
can view the certificate of analysis for your tub using the lot number on the bottom. The testing is run by an independent lab.

Should women take creatine?

Creatine isn’t just for men or the gym, and researchers are actively studying it in women at every stage of life. One review in Nutrients reported that women may have 70 to 80% lower natural creatine stores than men. Talk with your doctor about whether it’s right for you.

How much creatine should I take per day?

One scoop, which is 5 g, once a day. That’s the daily amount used in much of the research, and it’s exactly one serving of ours.

When is the best time to take creatine?

Whenever you’ll remember it every day. Consistency matters more than timing, so morning, afternoon or evening all work.

Do I need to do a loading phase?

No. A daily 3 to 5 g dose gradually fills your
muscles’ creatine stores over about 3 to 4 weeks, with no loading phase needed.

Do I take creatine on rest days?

Yes. Take one scoop every day, including days you don’t work out, to keep your stores topped up.

Can I put creatine in my coffee?

Yes. It’s unflavored, so you can stir it into coffee, tea, water, juice, milk or a smoothie. Just drink it soon after mixing.

What does micronized creatine mean?

Micronized creatine is milled into smaller particles than standard creatine. That makes a finer powder that stirs into liquid more
easily, with less grit settling at the bottom of your glass.

Does it have a taste?

No. It’s unflavored with nothing added, so it takes on the taste of whatever you mix it into.

Is creatine safe to take every day?

Creatine monohydrate is one of the most studied supplements in the world, and research reviews have looked at daily use in
healthy adults. As with any supplement, check with your doctor first if you
have a medical condition or take prescription medicine.

Can I take creatine while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Please talk with your physician before taking this or any supplement if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can teenagers take this creatine?

No. This product is not for use by individuals under the age of 18.

Is this creatine vegan?

Yes. It’s vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free, with no animal-derived ingredients.

How long does one tub last?

About 3 months. Each tub holds 90 servings, so one scoop a day lasts 90 days.

Where is it made?

It’s manufactured and packed in the USA with globally sourced ingredients.

Can I mix it with Digestive Support Protein?

Yes. Add one scoop to your protein smoothie for additional nutritional support.* It won’t change the flavor.
