Why Does This Work?

Pears naturally support digestion thanks to their high fructose content and the presence of sorbitol — a natural sugar alcohol that draws water into the colon, helping to soften stools and promote easier, more comfortable bowel movements.

Ingredients

    blank

    • 3 small pears (about 1 1/2 cups pureed)

    • 3 scoops Bethany's Pantry Cocoa Digestive Support Protein

    • 3/4 cup red cacao powder (regular cacao powder will also work, but red cacao has a much richer flavor!)

    blank

    • 1 cup Greek yogurt

    • 2 tablespoons organic Sunbutter

    • 1 scoop Bethany's Pantry Vanilla Digestive Support Protein

    Directions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    2. Wash, slice, and puree the pears in a blender until smooth.

    3. Add Bethany's Pantry Cacao DSP and the cacao powder to the blender. Blend again until a thick batter forms.

    4. Lightly oil a glass baking dish and pour in the batter.

    5. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until the brownies are set in the center.

    6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before frosting.

    7. For the frosting, mix the Greek yogurt, organic Sunbutter, and Bethany’s Pantry Vanilla DSP in a bowl until smooth and creamy.

    8. Once the brownies have cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Slice and enjoy!
