A thick, creamy cotton candy protein smoothie that gets its flavor and color from real ingredients: papaya, beets, lemon juice, and Strawberry Digestive Support Protein. No artificial flavors, no food dye, no added sugar. High protein, gut-friendl...
Ingredients
-
6 oz Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
-
1 cup frozen chopped papaya
-
1/4 cup steamed then frozen beets (peel before steaming)
-
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
-
4-5 ice cubes
-
2 scoops Bethany's Pantry Strawberry Digestive Support Protein
Directions
- 1. Add the Greek yogurt, frozen papaya, frozen beets, lemon juice, and ice cubes to a high-speed blender in the order listed. Do not add the protein powder yet.
- 2. Blend until the mixture reaches a chunky, partially blended texture. Stop the blender at this point. You do not want it smooth yet.
- 3. Add the 2 scoops of Strawberry Digestive Support Protein on top of the chunky mixture.
- 4. Remove the lid and use a spoon to scrape down the sides of the blender and break up the mixture. This loosens everything and allows the protein powder to incorporate properly.
- 5. Place the lid back on. Start blending at the lowest speed, then gradually increase the speed slowly over about 15 to 20 seconds until you reach the highest speed. Continue blending until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy.
- 6. Pour into a glass and eat slowly with a spoon. This smoothie is meant to be thick and spoonable, not thin and drinkable.
